What personal data we collect and why we collect it
As we are conducting our business as a B2B web agency, we collect the business name of the legal entity, required to carry on our daily business practice. We anonymize IP addresses by setting the last octet of IPv4 user IP addresses and the last 80 bits of IPv6 addresses to zeros in memory, shortly after being sent to the Analytics Collection Network. The full IP address is never written to disk. We do not collect or retain sensitive personal data, such as data concerning health. By default, www.UnitedOnline.eu does not collect any personal data about visitors.
Comments
When owners of legal entities leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form. We also collect a user agent string for proper rendering.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.
The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
We use a contact form to enable communication following a legal entity’s request via our online message form and with the legal entity’s consent. The addresses, telephone numbers and emails we collect belong to legal entities.
The contact information from the form submissions are kept for the subscription period for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.

Google Analytics
This website uses the “Google Analytics” service including the functions of Universal Analytics to analyze website visits by users. Google Analytics is operated by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Universal Analytics allows us to analyze the activities on our pages across devices (e.g. for access via laptop or tablet).
This is made possible by the pseudonymous assignment of a user ID to a user. Google Analytics uses “cookies” – text files that are stored on your device. The information collected by the cookies is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymization is used on this website. The IP address of users within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area will be reduced. This reduction eliminates the personal reference to your IP address. As part of the order agreement we have entered with Google Inc., Google uses the information collected to evaluate website usage and activity and to provide services related to internet usage.
You may prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser add-on. Opt-out cookies prevent the future collection of your data when you visit this website.
To prevent Universal Analytics from collecting data across different devices, you must opt-out on all systems used.

Facebook Plugins (Like Button)
Plug-ins from Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, are integrated into our web pages. You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button on our website.
When and if you visit our web pages at https://www.facebook.com/unitedonline.eu or https://www.facebook.com/unitedonline.gr the plug-in establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. This informs Facebook that you have visited our site from your IP address.

This enables Facebook to match the visit to our web pages with your user account. We should like to remind you that as a provider of the web pages, we receive no information relating to the content of the data transferred or of its use by Facebook.

How long we retain your data
For non-clients we keep contact form entries for six months, analytics records for a year, and customer purchase records for ten years.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For legal entities that register on our website (if any), we also store the information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you.
This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
According to the Federal Data Protection Act you have a right to disclose, amend, block or delete your saved information. If deletion conflicts with a legal or contractual duty to save information, or other legal grounds, the information can be made inaccessible in lieu of deletion.
Where we send your data
Legal entity data is transferred via secure layer protocol SSL to our webservers located within the European Union and no personal identifiable information is given to third parties.
Your legal entity’s information is only provided to the relevant registrar (e.g. WEBDOMAINZ) for the registration of your domains and to participating service partners (e.g. the bank) for the processing of your orders.
In these cases, the forwarding of information is carried out according to the Federal Data Protection Act. We restrict the information which is passed on to the barest minimum.
European data protection law requires data about European residents which is transferred outside the European Union to be safeguarded to the same standards as if the data was in Europe. In addition to the above this safeguard is mentioned in our contract clauses and our binding corporate rules.
Your contact information (DPO)
Under the GDPR (Article 37), there are three main scenarios where the appointment of a DPO by a controller or processor is mandatory:
• The processing is carried out by a public authority;
• The core activities of the controller or processor consist of processing operations which require regular and systematic processing of data subjects on a large scale; or
• The core activities of the controller or processor consist of processing on a large scale of sensitive data (Article 9) or data relating to criminal convictions / offences (Article 10).
Since our services do no fall under any of the above categories, we are not required to have a data protection officer (DPO), but our company has appointed one anyway.
